Yes, yes... The combination of two fads, I know, I know. But in my defense, I've loved cupcakes and tie dye for much longer than they've been "popular."
Things are pretty stressful here, and there are some things going on that I don't even want to think about... So to take my mind off of them, I made cupcakes. But just to make cupcakes would be far too simple. Thus, I got creative.
The batter is just Pillsbury Golden Butter cake mix. I didn't have all the ingredients necessary to make my own batter. I used store brand food coloring to dye the batter.
They baked for 20 minutes and then looked like this:
I made my own chocolate frosting:
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
They're delicious.
Now, back to reality... and packing.

@crystal_air - That's my weakness as well. You should try muffin mix. Same amazing taste without the raw eggs.
@Ampersands_Anonymous - YES! I like blueberry muffin mix. That's one of those thing you eat until you feel sick, drink a glass of milk, and then eat some more!

@bukeshow - Lol, I thought they were prettier without it too. My mom and sisters want icing though, so I frosted most of them and left a few without.
